Precious connections forged through calligraphy.  Looking back, I am filled with gratitude, realizing that my life has been blessed with so many relations like this.  The only problem is that, because I have been blessed with so many of these connections, I just don’t know exactly who to thank.

〜Bank of clouds haiku　可愛い発想〜

Apparently, it is a haiku written by a child.  It says, “I want to pour syrup on those pure white, billowing cumulus clouds and eat them.”  I think that’s a very candid reaction.

Cumulus clouds/

I’d love to eat them/

With some syrup on top/

〜Something easy to do, after all　臨書2種〜

These are the results of my copying practice of my teacher’s calligraphy.  As I liked these two, I asked them to be mounted.  However, it is true that I feel I chose my teacher’s works that are easy for me to copy.

The reason we find falling rain sad is that our hearts are sad.  I have heard this is a Zen saying.  Rain simply falls, and it doesn’t think or feel anything.
