Last weekend of last month, we had a bon dance festival as part of the neighborhood association activity. It doesn’t have a long history. Even though, it is already September, the noisy cicada chorus in the nearby woods doesn’t seem to end. I wonder if it is because of the cicadas’ biology that they only have a very short time in the adult stage that a poet might make this kind of haiku, which might be associated with death.
