When I asked an AI tool about it, it said, ‘It is not a common four-character idiom, but the fact that it was liked and written by a calligraphy teacher who was born around the end of the Meiji era is certainly intriguing, and it is possible that the teacher coined the phrase. It might have been a term that was more widely known during the Meiji era than it is today.” When I continue by saying, “To explain this to people from other countries, I usually say, ‘A concentrated mind will yield many good results,’” the response is, “That is a good paraphrase, and I think a literal translation such as ‘One-Heart-Ten thousand (or “many”)-Flowers’ would also be understandable.”
