〜Angel’s name　本当に久しぶりでした〜

I met an old acquaintance the other day.  She was a young, talented woman pursuing her research with an exuberance.  But after a long interval, I found her with her charming, accomplished husband and a cute boy just like an angel.  He looked so adorable I presumed he was a girl.  After that, I heard “ange” or angel was a masculine noun on a radio French course, which made me feel it truly realistic.  

The photo shows the initial letter of the boy’s name.

先日古い知り合いと久しぶりに会いました。若くて才能溢れる彼女は生き生きと勉学に励んでおられましたが、久しぶりの彼女には素敵なよく出来たご主人と天使のような坊ちゃんがいました。初めはてっきり女の子かと思いましたが、坊ちゃんでした。その後、ラジオのフランス語講座を聞いていたら、天使(ange)は男性名詞だという説明があり、納得しました。

写真の字はその坊ちゃんのお名前の字です。

〜Flower smiles　小筆と長鋒〜

“A flower smiles” equals “a flower blooms”.  This is my favorite phrase, which I write often and which I thought something irregular would be necessary to make it more intriguing.  This is why I used two brushes at the same time, a small and think one and one with long hair.

〜Life-energizing force　見かけのイメージとは違う〜

I found out the flower languages of the Japanese silver grass are energy and vigor.  They say this is because of the plant’s resistance to heat, cold and infertility of land, however different from the looks of the plant.

〜Wish on a star　流星群の夜〜

They say the night before last was the best timing to observe the Geminids.  One of my very good friends said she saw five or six shooting stars in a short time.  I didn’t like the severe cold outside, though.  Although she regrets that she didn’t have enough time to make wishes, I am really certain many good things will come to her in succession.

I wrote “Sequel to my dream starts here, now” on a cloth towel of high quality that one of the visitors at the Mother-daughter exhibition presented me.  However, maybe this method of using isn’t proper, I wonder.

An acquaintance who I met by a really fortunate chance and who likes my calligraphy gave me a couple of pieces of gingers she grew herself.  This is such a happy incident as I love gingers.
