I don’t usually use chemically synthesized ink for calligraphy. However, I found it quite handy when practicing a lot. My teacher used to tell us, his students, never to use that kind of chemically synthesized ink, which he called dead ink.

I remember watching this kanji Chinese character covered on TV a couple of times because of its large number of strokes, and it represents only one kind of noodle dish. Recently, I happened to find out that a friend who is a kanji lover was very interested in it.
