Sometimes Chinese descriptions of various words are interesting. I checked the Chinese expression of the word, chocolate and found this one. It obviously reflects its phonetic feature.
I remembered that sometime ago, when I heard the British rock band, YES is called 是樂隊, or “affirmative band” and thought it was totally a literal translation.

This is my third time of visiting this calligraphy exhibition specialized in calligraphy of kana, or Japanese phonetic letters. Although I know this is a conceited comment, I am certain its level has kept rising. So, I was really looking forward to visiting its next exhibit. However, to my great disappointment, I heard this time would be the last.
Now, I do hope calligraphers assembled here will organize a new group and organize a new exhibition series.
