The other day, I visited a Vietnamese restaurant one of my best friends once took me to. Without thinking much, I ordered a set menu of a bowl of ramen and rice because I felt sick and freezing and was on the verge of getting a cold. But afterward, I thought going to a Vietnamese cooking restaurant made no sense if I had chosen this menu. To my happiness, the cold went away soon, though.

Because the Kyoto Gyoen National Garden is located near my house and my alma mater it has been a very familiar place to me. However, I haven’t been there often lately. It is, I am sure, a big and amazing park for both Kyoto people and sightseers. Soon, the cherry blossoms will be gorgeous.

I have practiced as “experience practice” with people from Western countries a number of times so far. It was the fifth time for this person, which made me feel very happy and honored. As it was a rainy day, the phrase we practiced, “gracious rain”, happened to fit the day.

I often find flowers that I have never seen before at the florist corner of the supermarket I frequent.
This time, I found a cute one called “Astrantia”. And the flower languages are “thirstiness for love”, “Intellect” and “wish upon a star”. Also, I learned the image of the word, “thirstiness for love” doesn’t mean sadness about lacking love but some kind of hope for love.

よく行くスーパーの花屋さんコーナーでは、これまで知らなかったお花をよく見ます。
今回は、アストランティアという可愛いお花が目につきました。花言葉は、「愛の渇き」「知性」「星に願いを」などで、「愛の渇き」という花言葉は、愛が無くて悲しい意味ではなく、愛を求める希望がイメージされているそうです。

I thought she would produce exciting pieces, as I saw some sophisticated drawings when I visited her house. However, she seemed very nervous and didn’t take the plunge and express her originality.
