〜Zen phrase　松風颯々声〜

This Zen phrase is said to express the sound of wind rushing through pine needles, leading to an interpretation that something significant causes you to realize your lifestyle and concept of values in seemingly unimportant everyday things.

I received a box of large and almost perfectly spherical onions quite unexpectedly.  I became even happier because they were from a famous onion-producing district.

〜Well-known poem　赤ワイン〜

I used to like drinking white wine when I was young.  For I thought it was more “chic”. However, these days, I prefer red wine, as it appears to be beneficial for my health.

My calligraphy here features the famous poem of “Delicious grape sake,” which I have chosen as a material for calligraphy several times before.

若い頃は白ワインが好きでした。お洒落だと思ったので。この頃は赤ワインの方が健康にも良さそうで好きです。

〜Networked dramas　永遠の旅人〜

I watched a networked drama series titled with a coined word meaning “eternal viator”.  I watched all the episodes.  However, I didn’t understand its storyline because it hadn’t concluded, and I got a little frustrated.  It seems a new series will be released.

〜Peony flowers in my friend’s garden　流石に豪華です〜

These peony flowers have just bloomed in my friend’s garden who is very good at gardening.  They absolutely look gorgeous, so I wrote an ancient Chinese poem expressing admiration for the flower.

〜Red gerberas　花言葉と現代俳句〜

Every year, these gerberas bloom many flowers without much of my care.  They enjoy the most popularity in my garden around this time of year.  My calligraphy here is the flower language of red gerberas, “burning mysterious love”, and a contemporary haiku on the flower.
