Here are some tasty-looking rice crackers I got from a longtime friend.  The color is lovely, as well.  Then I found this charming haiku about the spring moon, rice crackers, and a little appetite.

I received fantastic photos of mimosa flowers from a friend who is a talented gardener today.  It seems that just looking at the springtime yellow can lift my spirits.

〜Nighttime and daytime　ちょうど真ん中〜

Today is the middle day of the Spring Equinox period, marking the exact halfway point between the winter solstice on December 22 of last year, when the sun began its return, and the summer solstice.  It feels as though this is something happening in a place far, far away, yet at the same time, it feels as though I am right in the thick of it.  Thinking about it gives me a strange feeling.

Beautiful sound of Buddhist chanting/

Sometimes when I see apples in the supermarket produce sections, I suddenly feel like buying one.  I am well aware that they become very sweet and tasty if I cook them a little, but I usually eat them fresh.
