I have been pathetically poor at drawing all my life. My late mother didn’t like it and being worried about it, my late father even bought a book for beginners to learn sketching for me, which turned out to be of no effect.
My mother gave up the hope in her later days and was pleased even with this poor drawing attached to my calligraphy. It reads “Step by step”.

I have been looking forward to seeing the little girl for long. Yesterday evening, I finally saw her and found out she is a grown-up cute girl. I had thought she be more like “a baby”.
Her name, apparently, comes from the name of a goddess of love and fertility.

As it is the beginning of a year, I thought I would write characters that symbolize good luck. The photo shows my calligraphy, great auspiciousness, on an ema shaped board. The ema or絵馬 is a wooden plaque offered to deity, often with pictures.
