〜Daffodils open　金盞香〜

This is the seasonal wording for five days from today.  Thinking about it, I see little daffodils beginning to grow in the well-tended gardens.  I don’t think I have already seen blooms yet, though.

今日からの5日間の七十二候の名称で、「水仙が咲く」の意味だそうです。そう言えば、お手入れの行き届いたお庭のそばを通ると水仙が育ち始めているようです。開いたお花はまだ見ていない気がしますが。

〜Good-looking boy 実に久しぶり〜

A sales clerk in a store I happened to stop by to do some shopping was a really beautiful young man, which made me very happy.  Now I wonder how long has it been since the last time I got so happy only because of seeing a good-looking boy.

ふと買い物のために立ち寄ったお店の店員さんが、まことに美しい青年だったのでとても嬉しく思いました。ふと出会った若者が綺麗だったからといって、こんなに嬉しく思ったのは久しぶりのことです。

I learned the symbolic phrase for this time of year is this.  However, I am afraid it is a little too hasty, because it was pretty warm in the afternoon today, in fact.

この時期の七十二候の名称です。水仙が咲くという意味のようですが、ちょっと気が早いのでは？　と思います。実際、今日の午後はかなり暑かったです。
