Unfortunately, this art exhibition (Tokyo venue of the you-be Exhibition 2025), which features two of my calligraphy works alongside pieces by other artists in various genres, will run until 4:00 pm this afternoon (from 12:00) at YW GALLERY https://ywgarou.jimdofree.com.
However, to my greatest happiness, I was informed that a very good, longtime friend visited and viewed it. I am deeply grateful for this long-lasting friendship.

A very good friend of mine, a passionate gardener, sent me this photo of purple cornflowers. I have never known this type of flower. The flower looks gentle, has good fragrance, and it keeps open for a long time, I heard. Also, it has plenty of herbal effects. Its flower language, “I ease your pain”, must originate from this feature.

I suddenly became curious about the page view numbers of my principal site, yushokai.com, which is this one. Then I discovered that the number of views in Germany has been surprisingly high recently. It may seem a little silly for an older woman like me to say that the goal of my calligraphy is to share this amazing art and culture, which has a history of thousands of years, with the entire world. Still, I am very happy to see the large number of views in Germany.

I enjoy this exhibition every year, and I always feel the calming effect of the gentle lights. However, actually creating these fantastic items would require a lot of physical strength. It must be similar to the way water birds look graceful on the surface but move their legs very powerfully underneath.
My calligraphy here consists of an ancient Chinese poem and a haiku, both of which are about bamboo forests.
