“New Year” naturally makes me think of my future, but I am really poor at thinking of the future. When I taught at an English language school for children, I was very good at making a teaching plan for each lesson. The clouds often are likened to happiness. However, I didn’t understand what caused this imagination until I saw clouds from the plane window on my way to a faraway foreign land last fall. Clouds look like they outwell one after another, which may make people think and hope the clouds are like outwelling happiness.

The first calligraphy practice of the year is often performed on January 2.
I chose a term I happened to see on a prop of a TV drama, which apparently means, “You will see a vast blue sky after overcoming difficulties and trials”. However, I am not sure if I had gone through such a difficult time in the first place.
