〜Drink in glassware　全部いただき物〜

A friend of mine gave me some rare saké.  I sensed a fantastic aroma when I opened the bottle, indeed.  Then, I poured it into the glassware I got from another friend long ago, which looked marvelous.

〜Celebration luncheon　若さと努力〜

There has been a happy occasion for my longtime friend’s son.  They kindly invited me to join the celebration, which made me very happy, and what made me happier was that they remembered me.

I have longtime perfect friends as below.

When I said I would like to meet you in your country, she took excellent care of me not only while I was in her country, but before and after that journey of mine abroad.

When I asked her to give me overnight lodging because of a complicated matter, she quite readily agreed with my wish.

The term means “you already have the jewels in your hand”.

〜Sound of a pipe organ　荘厳さの中で〜

I remembered the sublime sound of a pipe organ I heard in an old cathedral in an old overseas city last fall.  Thus, here are Chinese translation of the word “pipe organ” and a modern haiku about the instrument.

〜Heartwarming gesture on the table　食卓の品格〜

“Kind heart and welcoming gestures are on the table.”

In the faraway country, I felt nobleness and a welcoming heart at the tables they welcomed me.  Not only did they light a romantic candle at the tea before lunchtime, but even at a simple, informal tea, they formally put the dishes for me.

〜Last full moon　異国で見た満月〜

Tonight’s moon is the full moon in Cancer.  The full moon I saw in a foreign land looked exceedingly big.
