The two round fans I exhibited at the event, whose session will last five more days, were purchased by tourists from abroad, which made me feel I was in seventh heaven.  Taking the opportunity, I renewed my determination:  first, to spread this fantastic art and culture called Japanese style calligraphy to the world; and second, to show the calligraphy that I gained after decades of learning and practicing under a superior calligrapher than many others since I met him when I was a small child to the world at the same time.  After meeting with him and his wife, I kept practicing calligraphy for over sixty years.

The Great Bonfire Event in Kyoto was held, and there is a hint of the passing of the seasons.  It is still unpleasantly hot and humid, though.

The photo shows my old “Clear Cloud, Autumn Moon” piece.  I had a big question about what a clear cloud is, and later found out it meant clouds in a clear sky.
