〜Day 1　搬入してきました〜

Today is the first day of the fun event called the Postcard Collection.  I carried in my calligraphy on postcards to the venue yesterday.  You will find them displayed on the right wall very near the entrance.  This exhibition is until Sunday, December 4.  I hope many of you will go and enjoy it.

今日初日を迎えているポストカードコレクションの会場には昨日作品を搬入してきました。私のポストカード作品は、玄関を入ってすぐの右側の壁に飾ってもらいました。12月4日(日)までです。皆さま、ご来場くださるようよろしくお願い申し上げます。

〜Calligraphy on postcards　何回目かな〜

I am pleased to announce that I was allowed to participate in the postcard collection event, now I don’t remember how many times it happens, though.  Somehow, yesterday I did all forty cards to be displayed at a clip.

〜Light travels　ハガキ作品その１〜

This is “光が征く” or “light travels afar”.  

This is meant to be exhibited at the postcard collection exhibition.  I must, however, go and apply for participation in the event first.

〜Sacredness　時節柄の想い〜

The Postcard Collection event this time has a main theme, “想う, feel, think, desire, sentiment, wish, and what not.  I thought of this word, “sacredness”, just in view of the time of year.  The event is held through this Sunday.

〜My fourth participation 搬入してきました〜

It is with pleasure for me to announce that I was allowed to participate in the thirtieth commemorable show of the Postcard Collection.  This is my fourth participation in this particularly enjoyable event, which I really would like you to visit.     

The first photo shows one of the five kinds of my works that will be shown and a set for the original exhibition, “calligraphy” and “relationship” meaning relationship with others through calligraphy, a beautiful Japanese phrase that I would have never known without my calligraphy experience.

I am now preparing to participate in the event of postcard collection.  Today I wrote “for a sequel of a dream”, that might be translated as “in pursuit of what is beyond a dream”.  I hope these will be loved at the venue.

〜Postcard + business card + translation　「輝」のセット〜

I wrote「輝」on a normal kind of paper for calligraphy the other day.  This postcard has the same letter and what you find beside it are my new business card and another card with translation of the character.  I always submit this set for a postcard collection to be displayed and sold.

〜For the collection 4 　ハガキと団扇　4〜

These are for the postcard collection that is in session at the moment.  I love the character “龍” because both my calligraphy teacher and mother were born in the year of the dragon. These are “dragon” and “cloud”, that is “a cloud carrying a dragon”.  I asked the big frame to be displayed in the original drawing section, as well.

ただ今開催中のポストカードコレクションに出展しました。書の師と母の両方が辰年生まれですので、「龍」の字が好きです。今回は「龍」を乗せた「雲」を書きました。原画展としても飾っていただいています。

〜For the collection 3 　ハガキと団扇　3〜

This is for the postcard collection that starts tomorrow.  “Poetry Poem.”  My favorite character and word.  However, I am a little worried some people may not be familiar with the left side of the letter written in cursive style.

.

明日から始まるポストカードコレクションのための作品です。「詩」。好きな字、好きな言葉です。けれども、草書体の言偏に馴染みのない人がいるかも知れません。
