Here is a very short poem someone taught me.

The song of a single bird fills the universe.

The silence of two birds fills the universe.

The poem roughly says that even if the number of birds increases from 1 to 2, the sound doesn’t get any louder.  On the contrary, however, the silence deepens.  I wonder if it suggests that the more things there are, the deeper the silence becomes.

ある方に教えてもらった詩です。

一羽でも宇宙を満たす鳥の声

二羽でも宇宙に充満する鳥の静寂

鳥の数が1から2に増えても、音が大きくなるわけではない。つまり、存在が増えるほどに静寂が深くなるということですかね。
