Hydrangeas in two ways – I love hydrangeas.

The upper part is a poem from the ancient China.

.

The lower part is a haiku on hydrangeas.

.

The photo shows hydrangea flowers in full bloom in my garden.  I have heard this type is one of the original species of the plant.  There are so many new types resulted in breed improvements these days, though.

.

I love the flowers maybe because it is a symbol of the month of June, my birth month.

Day 3 – Review of the wonderful three days

I enjoyed the third and the last day of my first Marche.

.

I had various kinds of experiences, including meeting with new people in varied fields of arts and crafts.

.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, I am now thrilled to experience new things in my life.

Day 2

This is again about the Marche.  Just like the other places, the street the gallery, the Marche’s venue, faces isn’t very busy these days and we had only few visitors today.

.

However, it was very informative to talk with the other artists.  I enjoyed hearing about dyeing and making hats.

.

Moreover, it was really interesting and tantalizing to hear about other fields of art and other marches.

Day 1

I added three paper scrolls at the venue for visitors to see.

.

And today I performed a little, because one visitor that wasn’t very familiar with the art and culture of Japanese style calligraphy asked me to.

.

This visitor seemed to have had little chance to see calligraphic works so far.

.

However, fortunately she got very interested in my calligraphy.

.

And this was the best thing that happened today, because she asked me to show her how I do calligraphy as I wrote before.

.

I renewed a sense of gratitude to my first calligraphy teacher and his wife who loved me very much and taught me the essence of calligraphy.

.

And I am now even more thankful than before to my late parents who let me continue practicing calligraphy for a long time.

Preparation for my first experience

I am going to participate in this event this weekend.

.

These paper fans and postcards are for the event.  All of them are combinations of a Chinese character used nowadays and its ancestral form used in ancient times.

.

I hope many people will like them.

Morning dews on the leaves

Every morning, rain or shine, I find dews on the leaves of the plants and trees in my gardens, which are beautifully shining and mystic in a sense.

.

This is a poem from the ancient China in the middle part and a haiku separately written on the upper and lower parts.

.
