Today is the middle day of the Spring Equinox period, marking the exact halfway point between the winter solstice on December 22 of last year, when the sun began its return, and the summer solstice.  It feels as though this is something happening in a place far, far away, yet at the same time, it feels as though I am right in the thick of it.  Thinking about it gives me a strange feeling.

今日は春彼岸の中日で、昨年の12月22日の冬至に太陽が復活し、夏至に向かって進んでいくちょうど真ん中ということ。これは何かしらとても遠い場所のことのようでもあり、自分自身がその真っ只中にいるようでもあり、考えていると、奇妙な気分になります。
