Like the light of the star

Again, this is my copying practice of my teacher’s model he wrote for me decades ago.

.

Whenever I do this practice, I made new discoveries about my teacher’s techniques and his understanding and knowledge of the classical, traditional calligraphy both from ancient China and Japan.

.

Moreover, what I am now fully aware is his desperate wishes for my improvement and growth as a calligrapher.

.

Although I must admit I am far short of his expectations at the moment, I am determined never to give up trying.

.

“Lights like the stars at dawn reside in the hearts of all people.”
