I learned that this is the first part of a poem by Yuan Zhen, a poet, scholar, and statesman of the mid-Tang Dynasty in China.  The poem praises tea as a fragrant, delicious beverage beloved by many, including poets and monks.  I know I must practice and write the entire poem at some point.

これは中国唐代中期の文人、政治家でもあった元稹という詩人によるお茶は香り高くて、美味しいし、詩人にも僧侶にも愛されるものだという意味のお茶を讃える詩の冒頭部分らしいです。いずれ全体を書かなければとも思っていますが。
