The term “fudō” 不動 simply means ‘immovable’ and from there, it also suggests “unshakable.”   In general usage, the word refers to a state of being firm and unwavering.

I remind myself of the above from time to time, reaffirming again and again that my ultimate goal is to share my calligraphy and Japanese calligraphy with the world.
