A lady in my neighborhood is an enthusiastic handicrafts maker.  I knew she did great embroideries.

And recently, I found out she also made small goods out of colored, thick paper.

She came to my booth at Kyoto Art Craft Market and chose one postcard with my calligraphy of 星 or “star” in both modern (dark ink) and ancient (pale ink) forms.

At that time, I didn’t know what she was going to do with it but the other day she showed her handmade frame with my postcard in it.

.

I was very happy because it was the very first time to see my calligraphic piece be actually used by someone.
