This is the seasonal wording for the five days from today, which means “It is the time of year when the Japanese tree peonies start showing their big gorgeous flowers”.  They give people the impression of “splendor”.  It must be very troublesome to look after the plant, though.

I have always been trying to acquire “affluence”.

What does affluence denote?  Financial power, intelligence.  And richness in spirit is noted as the most important.

〜Just a beginning　色とりどり〜

Azealia flowers of many different colors are beginning to be found in many places.  I like the flower because of the colors and pretty long lives, as well.

I tried to search for an old Chinese poem with a motif of “azalea” and found this one.  It is part of a poem by Li Bai, which roughly means “When I was traveling abroad, I heard the chirping of little cuckoos.  Now I have returned home and see azaleas blooming”.

あちらこちらのツツジの花が綺麗になってきました。とりどりの色も素敵ですが、お花が結構長持ちするあたりも好きです。

ツツジをテーマに漢詩を探してみました。李白の詩の一節で、「異国にいたときに子規（ホトトギス）の鳴くのを聞いて、今故郷で躑躅の咲くのを見る」といった意味のようです。

This is the seasonal wordage of around five days with today as the middle day.

It roughly means “This is the time of year when the weather is getting warmer and frost-free, which makes rice seedlings grow well.”

〜So many episodes　人気のシリーズ〜

For me, who is a hard-core science fiction lover, watching a sci-fi TV series first broadcast in America in 1966 on my computer has been the greatest pleasure for these couple of years.  I have already watched hundreds of episodes where people working in spaceships and space stations and aliens appeared, however, I haven’t enjoyed all of the episodes yet.

〜TA MA YU RA　全てが美しい〜

The characters, “bijou” and “vibrancy”; the pronunciation of “TA MA YU RA”; and the meaning—everything is beautiful about this word.  Its meaning, above all, is beautiful, which apparently is, “an extremely brief course of time”.

Compared to the infinite course of time of space, my time here spent with many others could be considered only ephemeral.

〜Ancient forms of letters　虹の向こうは・・・〜

I am very interested in the original or nearly original forms of Chinese characters that are supposed to have been used in ancient times.  The work shows 虹 or a character for “rainbow” used today and what is written in pale ink is one of its ancient forms.

However, I am afraid this idea may not be very interesting to those who are not familiar with the Chinese characters used today.

漢字のもとの形、つまり古代文字とされる古い漢字がとても面白いと思います。これは、「虹」の現在使われている形と昔の文字（薄墨）です。

〜The Jodo-Shin Sect　大きなイベント〜
