“Lotuses begin to bloom.”

This is the solar term of a period beginning a couple of days ago and lasting less than a week.  I remembered my late mother when I saw this phrase.  The photo shows one of the collaboration works with her.  I asked her to write the letter “lotus” and added a cute Chinese poem in which a lotus appears in small letters.  The date on the piece shows that it was done exactly seven years ago.

2日ほど前から1週間足らずの間の七十二候です。これを見て、亡母とのコラボを思い出しました。母に「蓮」を書いてもらい、蓮が登場する可愛らしい漢詩を私が小さい文字で書きました。日付けを見ると、ちょうど7年前のものでした。
