I have been practicing calligraphy since I was a small child under a renowned calligrapher and his wife who are no longer with us.  I now feel a strong desire to share this amazing art and culture with the world.  Occasionally, I have the opportunity to practice with people from abroad, and on those occasions, I ask them to choose a kanji character they like as practice material.
