The two round fans I exhibited at the event, whose session will last five more days, were purchased by tourists from abroad, which made me feel I was in seventh heaven.  Taking the opportunity, I renewed my determination:  first, to spread this fantastic art and culture called Japanese style calligraphy to the world; and second, to show the calligraphy that I gained after decades of learning and practicing under a superior calligrapher than many others since I met him when I was a small child to the world at the same time.  After meeting with him and his wife, I kept practicing calligraphy for over sixty years.

会期をあと5日間ほど残す「百うちわ 作品展」に2点出展していましたが、その両方を海外からおいでの方々がお買い上げくださいました。本当に嬉しく思いました。そして、この素晴らしい芸術であり文化である日本の書を世界に広め、また同時に、幼い日に、格の高い書家である師と出会い、その後も長年稽古を続けて得た私の書を世界中に広めたいという思いを新たにしました。
