In a faraway foreign country, I made an enormous request and was allowed to deliver a calligraphy performance.  Therefore, I thought I had to do my best to entertain the audience and thought it would be interesting to show them how to tuck up kimono sleeves with a sash.  So, I practiced it by checking YouTube videos before traveling but failed to do it in a cool manner.  I think this is the first time I’ve written a character for this kind of sash.

遠い異国の地で、無理にお願いして書道パフォーマンスを披露させていただきました。そこで、襷掛けが格好良く出来たらいいだろうと思って、渡航前にもYouTubeを見て練習しましたが、思うように出来ませんでした。多分襷という字は初めて書いたと思います。
