This is kakizome or the first calligraphy of the year my mother wrote at the beginning of one year at the day care facility.  One care giver said that he was amazed because all the elderly took a brush and wrote something instantly when he announced, “today, we will do kakizome.”   I hope you will enjoy seeing it at the exhibition this weekend.

            From 11:00 – 17:00 (October 29, 30)

            From 11:00 – 16:00 (October 31)

ある年の初めにデイサービスで母が書いた書き初めです。「今日は書き初めをしますと言ったら、どのお年寄りもさっさと筆を執って何かを書かれました。お年寄りってすごいと思いました」とある職員がおっしゃっていました。週末の母娘展でご覧ください。
