〜Contemporary haiku and an ancient Chinese poem　初夏の頃〜

We have already been in the season of Xiaoman for about four days now.  Thus, I wrote a modern haiku and a passage from an old Chinese poem about this time of year.

And like the haiku mentions, a few of my good friends’ birthdays come this season.

もう四日ほど前に小満の季節になっています。そこで、小満やその頃を題材にした現代俳句と古い漢詩の一節を書きました。

それに、ちょうどこの俳句にあるように、この時期には親友たちの誕生日が来ます。

〜Fine and thin; and beautiful  初夏の風景〜

I searched for some words that depict early summer scene and found this one.  Apparently, it means “Both heaven and earth are swept and cleansed to the utmost limit by willow wands”.

初夏の光景の言葉を探したら、この一節が見つかりました。

「天も地も、まことに細やかに柳の枝で、掃き浄められている」ということだそうです。

〜Common old phrase  よく見聞きしますよね〜

“Balmy southern wind is blowing.”

I am afraid many people would ask why I want to write this well-known and often seen and heard Zen phrase.  Moreover, I found a number of theories about its origin.

Still, I have a pleasant feeling when writing this passage and I think that concludes all well (and good).

薫風自南来。

今更感の強い一節です。五月によく見聞きする禅語ですし。調べてみると由来には諸説あるようです。

でも書いていると気分がいいので、細かいことはまあいいかなと思うのです。
