Today is April 3rd.
However, according to the old calendar, it just falls on March 3rd, that is, “上巳” or Dolls Festival Day. As in Kyoto there still are quite a few households where these traditional events are observed according to the old calendar, I feel both intrigued and familiar with the old calendar.

今日は4月3日ですが、旧暦ではちょうど3月3日、つまり上巳の節句・雛祭りに当たります。京都では今なおこのような伝統行事は旧暦に則って祝うご家庭が多いですし、私も旧暦に興味があります。
