〜Visible and invisible　お神籤とブログの一節〜

I got a written oracle at a shrine, which says “Be aware the invisible divine protection”.  Then I thought this “gods” includes my ancestors and all the people who happily help me.

Then, I remembered a passage from someone’s blog that attracted my attention, “I will try very carefully to see the invisible, needless to say what is visible”.

あるお宮さんでお神籤を引いたら、『目に見えない神の守護を知れ』とのことでした。この『神』はご先祖や今私を助けてくださっている人たちも入ると思いました。

そこで、ある方のブログで見つけた気になる言葉を思い出しました。『見えるものだけを見るのではなく、見えないものも大切に見たいと思う』

〜Dragons in East and West　新しい神社〜

I went to a shrine that enshrines dragons located in the northern suburbs of Kyoto yesterday, which is a relatively new shrine as the one in Kyoto.  The shrine, however, seems very popular.

I feel sad to see dragons are simply regarded as evil existences in the West because in the Orient, they are holy beings with superpower.

The photos show my work of “dragon flying” and the sky a little outside of the shrine’s grounds.

昨日京都の北にある龍を祀っているお宮さんに行って来ました。京都のお宮さんにしては比較的新しいのですが、よく慕われているようです。

龍は東洋では強大な力を持つ神聖な存在なのに、西洋では単純に悪者になっていて悲しいです。

写真は、「龍翔」とその境内からちょっと外側の空です。
